The Green Impact Cup challenges teams to complete as many sustainability actions as possible within a set timeframe.

This year of the competition 73 Green Impact teams from 14 institutions competed.

Collectively these teams completed 864 sustainability actions in just one month!

The MGA Caulfield team from Monash University took out the cup with a massive 85 actions, winning not just bragging rights back an awesome prize pack from our competition supporters

Competition Rules & Conditions

  1. All new and existing teams from current Green Impact members are eligible to participate in the Green Impact Cup.
  2. A Green Impact team must be registered to their institution’s toolkit to participate. Please contact us if you need help registering a team.
  3. All Green Impact teams registered to a current toolkit are participants in the competition – no additional registration is required.
  4. Individuals participating in Green Impact as part of a specific individual focused toolkit (either from the University of Melbourne or Victoria University of Wellington) are eligible to participate as individuals. An individual prize will be awarded to the winner from your own institution. Only teams with two more participants are eligible to win the Green Impact Cup Winner’s Prize Pack or the Runner’s Up Prize Pack.
  5. The Green Impact Cup will be awarded to the team with the highest score at the end of the competition period. The Runner Up will be awarded to the team with the second highest score at the end of the competition period.
  6. Scores are generated from the number of toolkit actions saved as ‘Done’ (including WITH evidence as required by the action’s criteria) in the team’s toolkit between 10.00am AEST July 11, 2022 and 11.59pm AEST July 29, 2022.
  7. Any toolkit actions logged prior to 10.00am AEST July 11, 2022 will not contribute to a team’s score for the Green Impact Cup.
  8. Only the total number of completed actions (with evidence) will contribute to a team’s score (ie. action point scores are not valid).
  9. Actions marked as N/A do not count towards a team’s total.
  10. The Green Impact Cup organisers will verify that the winning team’s actions have been completed satisfactorily. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any actions that have not been completed as per the action’s criteria and/or where sufficient evidence for an action has not been provided.
  11. At the end of each week of the competition period, the top 10 teams will be announced via the Green Impact Australasia Facebook page.
  12. The winners of the Green Impact Cup will be announced on Thursday August 4, 2022.
  13. The team that scores the highest number of verified actions will be the recipient of a the Green Impact Cup Prize Pack.
  14. The team that scores the second highest number of verified actions will be the recipient of the Runner Up Green Impact Cup Prize Pack.
