Ferning Futures
Griffith University
Rae is a committed Green Impact leader in her Ferning Futures team. In 2024, Rae devised an initiative to bring a community art project to Logan campus. The mosaic project aims to bring together many members of the Logan and wider university community in a meaningful way. The results of the project, leaving Logan campus with a beautiful work of art that the community will feel connected to and can build on in the future. Rae selflessly volunteers her time, skills and physical resources to get this project off the ground. She has coordinated approval for the project and determined to weave the artwork into the spirit of Logan campus. Rae has taught members of the Ferning Futures team how to create a mosaic, so that they too can pass that knowledge forward by supervising various community mosaic creation events.
Outside of Green Impact and the learning and teaching space, Rae is an advocate for people with disabilities. Her knowledge and compassion have been invaluable for her colleagues on all things relating to accessibility and Universal Design for Learning. Rae constantly updates her knowledge in this area and works to make Griffith University a more inclusive space for all.
