Virginia is a dietician and lecturer at the University of Sydney and participated in her second year of the Green Impact program in 2024. Virginia demonstrates strong leadership in the areas of food sustainability, food security, health and nutrition, and sustainable living. She exemplifies the values of the Sustainable Development Goals; combining her professional knowledge, positive determination, and creativity to drive green initiatives across the university. During the program, she has led engagement with the University of Sydney Union (USU) Food Hub, collaborated on a DIY skincare and cleaning product workshop and has created innovative content to raise awareness and motivate behaviour change.

Working with the USU Food Hub manager, Virginia has worked to address student food insecurity by raising awareness amongst students and staff. She led a ‘Food Drive’ initiative and academic and professional staff across various departments generously donated pantry staples and other non-perishables to the value of $380!
