2025 Cup Wrap-up:

Each year we hope the Green Impact Cup grows stronger — and 2025 has not disappointed! Across our three challenges this year, participants from across Australia and New Zealand came together once again to show that small actions really do add up to big change.

This year, nearly 400 individuals across 49 teams took on sustainability challenges, from capturing biodiversity behind the lens, showing their stripes, to baking creations inspired by threatened species. The creativity and commitment shown by all teams was truly inspiring!

Instead of one overall winner this year, we celebrated champions for each of the three challenges:

  • Biodiversity Photography ChallengeWinner: Lunamets – University of Melbourne | People’s Choice: One Small Step – VUW

  • Show Your Stripes ChallengeWinner: Baby Steps – University of Sydney | Runner-up: Biik Biik Warriors – University of Melbourne

  • Threatened Species Bake-off Challenge🐨🍰 – Winner: MSP Edible Garden Group – University of Tasmania | Runner-up: Team Tasteful – VUW | Most Impactful Team: Green Eggs & Ham (Monash Nutrition) – Monash University | Honourable Mention: BLTB – Monash University

We extend our warm thanks to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment. Together, you’ve sparked conversations, built connections, and inspired action across campuses and communities.

We’re excited to see how teams will raise the bar again in 2026!
